MARKETING

LESSON #20

MARKETING

Marketing is the organization of the sale of a product or a service, for example deciding on its price, customer type, customer age, religious beliefs, availability period (daily, seasonal or annual), the areas it should be supplied to and how it should be advertised. Most people mistake marketing to sales marketing or network marketing. All three of these are different although in the same category and shall be explained in the next sub topics.  When marketing these are some of the things you should know and ask.

·        Organization of a sale is where one determines the distribution of a good or service. Is it distributed at a particular time, season or continually? What are the modes of distribution, vehicles, sales persons, media, or internet?

·        Marketing also determines the selling price of the commodity. For what duration should it be a particular price, is it a promotion? Or free samples in the hope of selling at a profit after getting the customers review?

·        Areas to supply are also important to determine what type of clients you are targeting. Are you selling goods for a particular age group? Social class?  Gender?
Are the areas of supply accessible by consumers?

·        Advertisement wraps around so many factors; packaging, branding, media, posters and information about the product, its availability and accessibility. The more creative and attractive your advertisement is the stronger your market will be.
The internet is the best place to market your good or services because it provides an international open market. (watch these videos: FUNDAMENTALS OF MARKETING Part 1 and Part 2)
